NEWS FLASH:
Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) has increased its pool pump homeowner rebate to $350.
Effective January 3, 2017 SMUD will rebate its customers $350 when they have a single speed pool pump replaced with a qualifying ENERGY STAR variable speed pool pump.
To qualify for the rebate the variable speed pump must be installed by a CSLB Licensed and CAEI Certified contractor (like Mike the Poolman!)
For more information on, see our variable speed pool pump installation page.

Find a pool pump contractor
One of the most important steps to a successful energy-efficiency project is finding the right contractor. As a SMUD customer, you are free to select any licensed contractor to be eligible to receive SMUD rebates for the installation of qualified energy efficient equipment for your home.
Contractors listed here are certified through the Foundation for Pool and Spa Industry Education (FPSIE) and have completed the Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer (CAEI) training course. SMUD only recommends contractors who are CAEI certified to install ENERGY STAR variable-speed pool pumps, because they are up-to-date on California state regulations, energy efficient technology, and how to program equipment to achieve maximum energy savings.
