NEWS FLASH: SMUD to reduce variable speed pool pump rebate from $350 to $250 effective September 1, 2018

I just found out SMUD is reducing their variable speed pool rebate from $350 to $250 on September 1.
I suspect their next move will be to eliminate the pool rebate program altogether. PG&E eliminated their rebate program on January 1, 2018 so I suspect SMUD will follow their lead :(
