News Flash- March 29, 2013: SMUD to offer $100 rebates for variable speed pump installations (while funds last)

March 29, 2013

March 27, 2013

SMUD is pleased to announce the return of Residential Variable-Speed Pool Pump rebates!  The rebates will be available April 1 – December 31, 2013 or until funds are depleted. SMUD has a minimal goal for pool rebates, and we expect these to go fast, so act quickly.  The rebate amount for the SMUD pool owner customer will be $100. In addition to the customer rebate, the authorized agent will be eligible to receive a rebate of $150 for installing the pump. SMUD has added an education requirement for installers and sales personnel. In order to receive the $150 rebate, each installer or sales person must complete the following course.

–       Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer Course.

*If the installer or sales person has attended one of the following courses within the last 2 years, this will meet the education requirements. Please submit a copy of the completion certificate.

–       Aquatic Energy Auditor Course (AEA) (SMUD Sponsored Course)

–       Certified Aquatic Energy Installer Course (CAEI) (PG&E Sponsored Course)

–       Certified Aquatic Energy Auditor Course (CAEA) (NSPF Sponsored Course)

Please contact Foundation for Pool & Spa Industry Education (FPSIE) for a list of scheduled Certified Aquatic Equipment Installer courses at 916-922-8895 or at www.fpsie.org.

The 2013 Residential Variable-Speed Pool Pump rebate form will be posted on our website smud.org/rebates on April 1, 2013.

Sincerely,
