Mike the Poolman has been providing professional pool service and repair since 1995. Our approach is simple: reliable service, consistent technicians, clear communication and honest recommendations.
Whenever possible, you receive the same pool technician on the same service day each week. That consistency allows your technician to become familiar with your pool, equipment and property instead of treating every visit like a first-time service call.
It also makes it easier to notice changes in water chemistry, equipment performance or other conditions before they become larger problems.
Our employees are background checked before they begin servicing customers’ homes. We understand that our technicians are entering backyards and working around your home, so trust and professionalism matter.
We use electronic service records to document our visits and keep customers informed.
Service reports provide useful information about your pool and help create a history of its water chemistry and maintenance.
If we notice an equipment problem or something that needs attention, we communicate it rather than simply leaving and hoping the problem goes away.
Proper pool care involves more than simply adding chlorine. We pay attention to overall water balance, including factors that affect swimmer comfort, pool surfaces and equipment.
When appropriate, we consider the Langelier Saturation Index as part of maintaining balanced pool water and protecting plaster, tile, heaters and other pool components.
Because Mike the Poolman provides both weekly pool service and equipment repair, our technicians are trained to recognize signs of equipment problems during regular service.
We repair and replace pool pumps, filters, heaters, automation systems, salt systems, valves and other pool equipment. When a repair makes sense, we’ll tell you. When replacement makes more financial sense, we’ll explain why.
We deliberately limit the number of pools assigned to our service routes. Our goal is not to squeeze as many stops as possible into a technician’s day.
Keeping routes manageable gives our technicians the time they need to properly service each pool, communicate problems and provide consistent care to our existing customers.
We don’t believe in selling customers equipment or services they don’t need. Our goal is to build long-term relationships by giving straightforward recommendations and taking care of the pool properly.
Sometimes that means recommending a repair. Sometimes it means telling you that your existing equipment is still doing its job and doesn’t need to be replaced.
We’ve been taking care of pools in the Folsom and El Dorado Hills area since 1995. That experience has taught us that different communities can have very different water conditions, pool designs and maintenance challenges.
We use that local experience to provide service based on the actual pool and water conditions rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
